The Mission Before Us

When considering and prayerfully seeking the mission statement for Agoge (ah-go-gee)

Ministries, I was led to a passage in the Bible that I had highlighted some time ago. It is found in Hebrew 13: 20-21

(20) Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, (21) equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (NIV)

Hebrews 13: 20-21 is a perfect reminder of how we need Christ to equip us as we strike out each day to accomplish His work in us in His name. Without His hand and His voice we are not equipped to meet the challenges faced in the world that surrounds us. 

So in the spirit and definition of what the Ancient Spartan Agoge stood for and the parallels to which God has chosen to use Agoge Ministries, we use Hebrews 13; 20-21 as the basis for Agoge Ministries mission statement.

Mission Statement:

"Equipping His people with everything good for doing His will, so that He may work through them what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, for whom all glory will be given."

This mission statement represents the desire of Agoge Ministries and will be used as the foundational heartbeat of the ministry entrusted to our care.
